Janet Corby.
48 years of age.
Norfolk.
Involved in a car accident
while driving home from work
and was turned upside down
within the vehicle (2007). She was
extremely traumatized and unable to
drive after the accident. Found sitting in
any
vehicle
very difficult.
Received a 7-day
programme with
hypnotherapy and driving rehabilitation sessions
with her DRC UK mentor. Janet came back to us for another 3 days
after having a break period of 2 weeks. This was a very successful
rehabilitation programme with only minor anxieties still affecting
her that we expect to diminish somewhat within time.
Shoween
Chetwynd.
19 Years of age.
Hampshire.
Learner-driver. Hit from behind while on a driving lesson and
received minor trauma and whiplash discomfort (2007). She was
unable to continue with her lessons until she contacted DRC UK
and received a small programme to get her back on the road again.
4 sessions with her DRC UK mentor and only 1 session of hypnotherapy.
Good luck with your driving test Shoween.
Mark
Taylor.
34 Years of age.
Leicestershire.
Passenger. He was turned upside down in a taxi car and became
trapped when the car then burst into flames (2007). No physical
injuries but acute trauma and fear. Intensive programme received
with several hypnotherapy sessions and 12 sessions of being a
passenger that was broken into 2 parts (24 hours in total). Accomplished
therapy of 75%. This is excellent progress in the short time it
has been since the accident and we expect more improvement in
the future. Mark will only travel with people he now knows and
avoids taxis.
Catherine
O’Neal.
33 years of age.
Cleveland.
Driver. Hit head-on by a motorcyclist with her own family in the
car and the rider came through the windscreen and was fatally
injured (2007). Catherine received a comprehensive therapy programme
from us and returned back to the road in only 6 months time from
the accident. She received physical injury as well but is much
improved. Her family received counsel and passenger therapy and
the whole programme appears to be very successful. Catherine has
informed us she is now about to take an advanced driving course.
Good luck Catherine and family.
John
Howard.
19 years of age.
Cheshire.
Motorcyclist. Lost his left leg below the knee in an accident
with another motorcyclist (2005). He was left with a fear of being
on the road altogether even though he held a full car licence
as well. John has completed a medium size programme with us that
involved confidence building behind the wheel (automatic car)
and he now enjoys being on the road again. His insurance company
are in the process of settling all fees for his rehabilitation.
Jarad
Becks.
24 years of age.
Warwickshire.
Involved in a motorway pile up. He received back and chest injuries
and acute psychological trauma. He was unable to work due to the
fact he was employed by an estate agent to fetch and carry documents
so driving was his job (2005). Jarad’s insurance company
are currently looking into his claim for the accident and also
his rehabilitation programme that is still on going. Excellent
progress achieved so far with 14 hours behind the wheel and 4
hypnotherapy sessions (Nov 07). We expect Jarad to finish his
rehab’ and return to his old job full time before the end
of the year (he hates being behind a desk at the estate agents).
Laxmiben
Gangvani.
29 years of age.
Northamptonshire.
Had an accident as a passenger (2007). She is a full licence holder
but trauma of the accident played a role in her not wanting to
drive again. This was a problem as Laxmiben is a single parent
of 3 young children and transportation is necessary with living
many miles from the nearest town and school. A successful rehabilitation
programme of 5 days was conducted with her DRC UK mentor and Laxmiben
is now back on the road and totally confident again.
